1. Holiday Lights at the Zoo- Nov. 27th-Dec. 31st

Zoo lights are back and sparklier than ever! Stroll through the park and take in the twinkling lights, then warm up with some hot cocoa from one of the on-site vendors. This year’s event will also feature socially distant photos with Santa, so bring your camera!

2. Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Texas- Nov. 27th-Jan 3rd 

Are you looking for some thrills this holiday season? Holiday in the Park is back with all your favorite Six Flags rides decked out in holiday lights and decorations. New this year is Snowman Wonderland, where you can build your snowman while enjoying festive treats! Be sure to buy your tickets early, as this popular event always sells out quickly.

3. Santa’s Village at NorthPark Center- Dec. 1st-23rd

Take a trip to Santa’s Village and enjoy all your favorite holiday activities! Take your picture with Santa, decorate gingerbread houses, make holiday crafts, and much more. This year’s event will be socially distant, and masks will be required, but that doesn’t make it any less fun! 

Private Bookings for Santa visits are also available if you want to ensure you get some one-on-one time with Old Saint Nick. 

4. The Arlington Christmas Parade

The Arlington Christmas Parade is a can’t-miss event for anyone in the DFW area. The parade features floats, bands, and Santa Claus himself. The parade starts at 11 AM on December 7th and will run through Downtown Arlington. This event is free and open to the public.

5. The 12 Days of Christmas at the Botanical Gardens

Looking for a more low-key holiday event? Check out the 12 Days of Christmas at the Botanical Gardens. From December 13th-24th, visitors can stroll through the gardens and see 12 different Victorian-style gazebos decorated for the holidays. Each pavilion will also feature a live musical performance. This event is free with admission to the botanical gardens. 

6. Christmas in Frisco Square

Christmas in Frisco Square is an annual tradition for many families in DFW. The event features an outdoor ice skating rink, a Ferris wheel, carnival games, carolers, Santa Claus, and more. Christmas in Frisco Square runs from November 29th-December 31st. Admission to the event is free, but there are charges for some activities.
